Perth Nightlife

A weekend can feel like an island of peace after a grueling work week. But it’s only a matter of hours before boredom starts to set in. Fortunately, Perth has a pulsating nightlife scene that offers fun and entertainment for families, couples and singles, and can keep you busy on weekend evenings. The nightlife venues include pubs and bars, weekend markets, music venues, and more.

Pubs and Bars

Closer to the heart of the city, Durty Nelly’s is a great pub with several sitting areas, an outdoor terrace, head there for whiskey, stout and bistro food—just perfect for couples. For the wild at heart, Tiger Lils is a dark-lit, Asian-themed dance club situated on Murray Street. The Shed in Northbridge is an outdoor club featuring the best local bands and DJs and an outgoing audience.

Night Markets

The Twilight Hawkers Market is held in Forrest Place from 4:30pm to 9:00pm every Friday from October to April, it’ll be October before you know it! It is Perth’s biggest street food market featuring delicious cuisines from around the globe in an atmosphere brought to life by live music. Held at the Perth Cultural Center, Perth Night Noodles Market is another must visit food venue. You’ll find barbecues going and people lining up at food stalls. The environment is festive and the food is really tasty.

Live Music Venues

Perth boasts a thriving indie rock music scene, and you’ll find live music playing at most of bars or pubs that you go to. The Bird, located on William Street, is the place to see your favorite band playing live in an intimate ambience. The Ellington Jazz Club on Beaufort Street is a magnet for Jazz fans and first dates.

Crown Perth

If you’re looking for a Vegas like experience, Crown Perth is a huge entertainment complex located in Burswood. The complex recently went through a $750 million renovation and hosts a 24/7 state-of-the-art casino, sporting 1500 gaming machines, Baccarat, Black Jack, Roulette, Poker, and lots of other games. Several bars and restaurants are located on the precincts that include a beautiful grassy park that rolls all the way down to the calm and serene waters of the Swan River.

On the whole, there’s no shortage of places in Perth that you can visit at nights, although sometimes it may seem there are more venues than there are night creatures.
