Government increases offshore Visa fees from July 1 2015

Australian Government increasing Offshore Partner Visa and Prospective Marriage fees by over 32% from July 1st 2015

* Provisional and permanent partner visas – for the main applicant currently $4,630 increased to $6,865

For applications lodged on or after the 1st of July, 2015 the Visa Application Charges (VAC) increases to A$6,865, to bring the VAC into line with the VAC payable by onshore partner visa applicants.

So what you need to consider is:

• Can you lodge prior to June 30th and save over $2,000
• Remember whilst it is desirable to have all supporting documentation ready to go when lodging a visa application a valid partner visa application does not require this documentation to be submitted at that exact point in time.
• If you are intending to apply for a partner visa outside Australia and are comfortable you will have documentation to validate your relationship in the near future we suggest not delaying the submission of your application while the documentation becomes available.
