Western Australian Premier Colin Barnett announced today that the planned school fees payable by children of 457 visa holders attending public schools will be delayed by a year until 2015.
This means that the Western Australian State Government’s measures requiring 457 visa holders to contribute to the cost of the children’s education at a State school – as outlined in the 2013-14 State Budget – would be applied from 2015, instead of 2014.
